Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using StarMatch.live (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

StarMatch.live is a coordination platform that enables Star Citizen players to:

• Discover and join organized multiplayer scenarios and missions
• Form and coordinate parties for in-game operations
• Communicate via integrated voice chat during missions
• Create and host scenarios for other players (where enabled)
• Contribute to or fund community-created experiences

The Service facilitates coordination for gameplay within Star Citizen but does not provide, modify, or interact with the Star Citizen game itself.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Verify your RSI (Roberts Space Industries) handle when required

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to it
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service without permission
• Engage in fraudulent activity, including payment fraud or chargebacks
• Use the Service to promote scams or deceptive schemes
• Violate the terms of service of Star Citizen or Roberts Space Industries

6. User-Generated Content

Users may create scenarios, upload images, and generate other content (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you:

• Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Service
• Represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content
• Agree that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights

We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of User Content and reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

7. Payments and Contributions

The Service may offer features involving payments, including contributions to scenario creators or premium features. By making a payment, you agree that:

• All payment information provided is accurate and authorized
• You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account
• Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (Stripe) subject to their terms
• Refunds are subject to our refund policy and may not be available for all transactions
• Contributions to creators are voluntary and do not guarantee any specific outcome or performance

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by StarMatch.live and are protected by intellectual property laws. Star Citizen, Roberts Space Industries, and related marks are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Games Corporation.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Stripe (payments), LiveKit (voice communication), and RSI (handle verification). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARMATCH.LIVE AND ITS OPERATORS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED SWISS FRANCS (CHF 100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StarMatch.live and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and User Content
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive termination

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.

15. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may proceed with formal dispute resolution in accordance with Section 14.

You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against StarMatch.live.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StarMatch.live regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
